Zabzugu, Northern Region
Presidential hopeful and Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, has issued a strong warning to individuals within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who demand money for job recruitment, describing the act as corruption and betrayal against the party’s grassroots.

Addressing delegates during his Unity Tour engagement in Zabzugu, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong expressed disappointment that some party members allegedly charge as much as GH₵20,000 to offer job opportunities to fellow members. He vowed that under his leadership, such acts would not be tolerated.

“Why is it that in our own party, our own brothers charge GH₵20,000 to give someone’s child a job? If you vote for me, Ken Ohene Agyapong, as President, anyone who sells a position will be arrested and jailed,” he declared, drawing loud cheers from the delegates.

The outspoken presidential aspirant emphasized that his commitment to honesty and discipline within the party has made him a target of false accusations, including claims that he reports NPP members to EOCO.

“They are afraid and keep lying about me. They say Ken Ohene Agyapong insults people or that I report them to EOCO. Whatever you did, I’m not aware of it. I’m fighting for the grassroots and I need you to fight for me too,” he added.

Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong encouraged party members not to fear intimidation but to unite and work collectively to rebuild both the party and the nation.

“Don’t be afraid of anybody. Let’s fight together, win together and work together. That is the only way we can build this country and our party,” he urged.

The Zabzugu engagement formed part of his ongoing Unity Tour of the Northern Region, aimed at strengthening party unity, inspiring delegates, and reinforcing his message of integrity, development, and grassroots empowerment ahead of the NPP’s internal elections and the 2028 general polls.
