Mrs. Christiana Agyapong, wife of New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, has urged women of the party to rally behind her husband’s vision to create jobs and empower Ghana’s youth to be self-reliant.
Speaking during her Bono East regional engagements with NPP Ladies Delegates in Nkoranza and Techiman, Mrs. Agyapong said job creation will be at the center of her husband’s leadership when elected flagbearer and, ultimately, President in 2028.
“Every mother wants to see her child working and living with dignity. Ken Ohene Agyapong believes in empowering people — not with handouts, but with real opportunities to work and build their future,” she said.
She emphasized that Hon. Agyapong’s record as a businessman and philanthropist demonstrates his commitment to empowering ordinary Ghanaians through hard work and enterprise. According to her, his numerous investments have created jobs for thousands of people across the country — from construction and media to manufacturing and agriculture.
Mrs. Agyapong reminded delegates of the sacrifices women make for the NPP, often closing their shops and leaving their families to campaign tirelessly for victory, yet struggling to access support when they need it.
“We, the women, are the heart of this party. We campaign, we sacrifice, and we stand strong for the NPP. But when we need help to grow our businesses or farms, it becomes difficult. That is why I am pleading with you — let’s support a leader who understands our struggles and will create opportunities for all,” she said.
She appealed to party members to vote for Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, who is Number 1 on the ballot, during the January 31, 2026, flagbearer elections, describing him as the only candidate with the practical experience, compassion, and drive to lead the NPP to victory in 2028.
“Ken Ohene Agyapong is a man of action and results. He believes in hard work, empowerment, and opportunity for everyone. With him, our youth will have jobs, and our women will have the support they need to succeed,” Mrs. Agyapong added.
Her engagement forms part of the ongoing Ken Agyapong Unity Tour, which seeks to reconnect with party members across the regions, strengthen grassroots support, and promote the message of unity, empowerment, and transformation ahead of the NPP’s upcoming flagbearer contest.
