Delegates in Tarkwa Nsuaem witnessed a charged moment when Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong delivered one of his most uncompromising messages yet, challenging what he described as poor leadership decisions that have cost the party dearly.
Addressing the gathering, Ken noted that his calm posture over the past months was a deliberate choice made for the sake of party unity—not an indication of fear or weakness.
According to him, those misinterpreting his silence are making a grave mistake.
He stated:
“A lion may be quiet, but it does not fear anyone. I kept silent for unity, but the day I respond, you will understand there are real men in this party.”
Ken Agyapong criticized individuals who allegedly rushed to concede defeat during the last internal election while counting was still ongoing—an action he believes contributed to the party losing important parliamentary seats.
He questioned why the same people who made those errors expect party members to return them to power.
His words were sharp and unwavering:
“You cannot jeopardize the party’s seats and come back asking for power. It won’t happen—not today, not tomorrow.”
The atmosphere among delegates shifted as his comments resonated, reinforcing his call for stronger, more accountable leadership within the NPP.
