As part of his ongoing Eastern Region Unity Tour, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong delivered a passionate address to NPP delegates in Abuakwa South, emphasizing the urgent need for unity, courage and a renewed sense of self-worth among party members and Ghanaians at large.
Speaking candidly, he noted that internal divisions and fear of open support have weakened the collective strength of the party in certain areas, calling on delegates to overcome such tendencies and stand boldly for truth and progress.
“When something is truly yours, it will be yours. But we must be vigilant, because sometimes people come together and claim what belongs to us — and when it’s our turn, division sets in,” he said.
“We must wake up and defend our heritage. We cannot continue to allow a minority to intimidate the majority because we fail to stand together. My silence is not fear, it is a choice for unity.”
Hon. Agyapong also commended the example of unity displayed in other regions, urging delegates in the South to emulate the same discipline and solidarity.
“If others can boldly stand for what they believe in, then we too must have the courage to defend what is right. Let us rise above tribal divisions and embrace one another as one party, one people, and one Ghana,” he concluded.
The Abuakwa South engagement marked another significant stop on Ken Agyapong’s Eastern Region Unity Tour, which continues to inspire enthusiasm and reflection among NPP delegates and supporters across the region.
