Earlier today, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong visited the Western Regional Hospital to donate a significant consignment of medical equipment, reaffirming his long-standing commitment to strengthening healthcare facilities across Ghana.
The donation included electric wheelchairs, hospital beds, and assorted essential medications aimed at improving patient care and easing pressure on the hospital’s limited resources.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Agyapong emphasized that his mission is rooted in compassion and preparedness.
“Our goal is simple — to contribute our widow’s mite to support healthcare. I initially allocated ten electric wheelchairs, but because I have several persons with disabilities within my party in this region, I promised to return with eight more wheelchairs and fifty hospital beds,” he explained.
He added that his support for health facilities is driven by personal awareness of the realities many hospitals face.
“You never know where you may find yourself one day. Many hospitals are not well equipped. Lives can be lost simply because the needed equipment or medication is unavailable. That is why I do my best to donate to hospitals across all regions — because every life matters.”
Hospital officials expressed deep gratitude for the timely support, describing the gesture as a major boost for patient care.
On behalf of the hospital, the administrator stated:
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong for these vital items. God bless you for remembering us. This donation will go a long way to improve care for our patients.”
Hon. Agyapong concluded by promising to return with additional equipment, reaffirming his commitment to supporting healthcare delivery nationwide.
“I will come back again,” he assured.
