During a high-profile engagement with delegates in Jomoro, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong issued a powerful call for change, highlighting the lack of tangible development in the Western Region despite decades of participation in the democratic process.
“For too long, the people of this region have participated in the democratic process without receiving the tangible returns they deserve. Decades of commitment at the ballot box have not resulted in the necessary industrial development, such as the establishment of a single factory,” Ken Agyapong said.
He sharply criticized those now attempting to dictate electoral choices, pointing out that many of them are the very individuals responsible for the region’s prolonged stagnation.
“The very voices now dictating your electoral choices are those responsible for this protracted stagnation. I ask: Must economic opportunity and comfort remain the exclusive preserve of a select few?” he questioned.
Ken Agyapong encouraged voters to make this election a turning point.
“This election, let your vote be a mandate for change. Elect a leader who is genuinely committed to securing your future and catalyzing true, sustained development across the Western Region,” he urged.
His remarks resonated strongly with delegates and party supporters, emphasizing accountability, economic empowerment, and the need for principled leadership in the NPP.
